Economic, Social and Youth Development

Citizens of Rockdale County:

Please allow me, Courtney L. Dillard, to offer you this letter that affirms my commitment as a candidate   or Commissioner of Rockdale County. As a Christian father, husband, business owner and minister in this community, I believe “success in life” on all levels is based on honesty, hard work, and beneficial relationships. My vision for this county is to improve the citizens’ understanding of the social and economic development needed for businesses, families and youth to prosper in Rockdale County. I believe Rockdale is dynamically poised and quintessentially prepared to move forward.

Much like you, I share the belief that Rockdale County citizens respect hard work, responsibility, individual initiative, a sense of community, and conservative family values. We all want quality housing, a healthy environment, excellence in education both private and public, affordable healthcare, and efficient transportation. And I want to personally thank the current Board of Commissioners, Directors, Court Judges, Sheriff's Department, and staff members of the Rockdale County government for your dedicated service. With that said, however, I’d like to challenge all of our public officials to do more with less; to enhance our efforts and improve in every aspect of governance. These difficult economic times demand no less.
But regardless of our challenging financial concerns and commitments, we must always address basic individual needs. We must also foster vigilant public safety protections for our youth and senior citizens so that Rockdale County residents can be assured that they live in the safest and the very best environment in the state of Georgia.

Since 1992, I have lived, worked and coached the youth of this community. Our young people represent the robust foundation that the future greatness of Rockdale will be built upon. Our children and our teens are the “rock” of Rockdale! Now is the time that we must move forward and make Rockdale County greater - together.
Today, more than ever, our citizens need someone as their Rockdale County Commissioner who will listen to the concerns of the business and home owners and advocate accordingly. We need savvy and sophistical leadership working with community partnerships, not only on the Rockdale County Board of Commissioners, but within all Rockdale County families and organizations. I am that man; I am that concerned and committed public servant. I will listen attentively to your concerns, and together we can develop a plan to address a plethora of community and common concerns. Your voice is very important to me because I want to righteously represent you.
Therefore, I humbly and respectfully ask for your support and assistance with my campaign for a better Rockdale. I invite you all to become acquainted with me and our volunteer staff. Let us align ourselves in a proud and progressive political movement that will positively move Rockdale forward.

Join us for a riveting community forum at our campaign headquarters every Thursday night at Interior Style Furniture Store 2182 Salem Road Conyers, GA 30013 at 7:00 p.m. We are excited about meeting you, and soliciting your involvement -- be it hosting a coffee or tea meeting in your home, gathering information, placing a sign in your yard, or contributing financially there is a role for you to play in this campaign and we welcome your active participation. We cannot win the Democratic Primary Election on July 20th or correct the ills that plague our county without your help.

I promise you that I will be a champion for families, businesses and our youth – and the caring Commissioner for all Rockdale citizens.
